GILLBT Rallies Support for Bible Translation in Ghan

On Saturday, March 29, 2025, GILLBT hosted the Bible Translation Partners’ Dinner at the GILLBT Hospitality, Accra, bringing together about 118 guests, including GILLBT board members, church leaders, and partners, to celebrate the progress of Bible translation in Ghana and raise funds.

The event, chaired by Her Ladyship Georgina Theodora Wood, emphasized the importance of making Scripture accessible in every Ghanaian language. In her address, she commended GILLBT’s dedication and urged attendees to actively support the Ahanta, Anufo, and Awutu Bible translation projects, reminding everyone that even the smallest contributions make a significant impact. T he highlight of the evening was a powerful message from Apostle Emmanuel Ofei Ankra-Badu, who spoke on the transformative power of encountering God’s Word in one’s heart language, sharing testimonies of lives changed through translated Scripture.

The night featured an inspiring video presentation on the Bible translation process, a fundraising session where cash donations and generous pledges were made, and an uplifting song ministration by El Dunamis Choir. Guests enjoyed a time of fellowship over dinner, strengthening their commitment to supporting GILLBT’s mission. T he event successfully raised awareness and funds to advance Bible translation, reaffirming the collective vision of ensuring that every Ghanaian has access to God’s Word in their mother tongue.
